Vessels with lift and handling equipment from SEAONICS have proven big catches and high-performance at sea. That’s why SEAONICS is trusted to deliver a complete winch system for Royal Greenland’s new trawler and both the winch system and deck cranes for Havbryn’ s new advanced stern trawler.

Following successful prototype testing, Seaonics is moving swiftly towards the commercialization of the Ocean Charger solution for electric Service Operation Vessels (SOVs). This comes at a time of heightened interest from wind farm developers, eager to adopt sustainable practices in the offshore wind industry.

At Seaonics, we are dedicated to enhancing the safety and efficiency of mission-critical operations through the development of our motion-compensated gangway and crane simulator. Our focus is not on ultra-flashy 3D visuals, but on delivering accurate, real-world performance. This approach underpins both our control system software development and our operator training programmes, ensuring the highest levels of safety and operational effectiveness.

In 2013, we installed our first offshore crane on the Norside Supporter. Fast forward to today, that same crane is installed aboard the upgraded Argeo Venture, and Norside Supporter have received the ECMC Crane.

This fully electric and high-performance AHC XT winch was developed with Odfjell Drilling as part of their XMT and subsea handling concept.

On Thursday October 19th, SEAONICS and partners in the Ocean Charger Project, tested the solution at Offshore Simulation Centre at NMK in Ålesund.

We are proud to inform that the Ocean Charger concept has been awarded the Vessel Charging Innovation of the Year during Electric & Hybrid Marine Awards in Amsterdam.

In June 2020, SEAONICS delivered an electric Danish seine winch system to Kvalnes, built at Vard Aukra/Langsten.

We are proud to announce that we have signed a contract for our award winning Electric Controlled Motion Compensated (ECMC) Crane of two Service Operation Vessels (SOVs) for Norside Wind AS. The first crane will be delivered late this year for Norside Cetus and early next year for Norside Supporter.
